As part of its upcoming Race for the Birds, the Potomac Valley Audubon Society is raffling off a one-year membership at Shepherd University’s Wellness Center.

The membership is worth $550 and has been donated by the center. All proceeds will support PVAS’s programs for children. Raffle tickets will be $1 for one ticket or $5 for six tickets.

The race will be held April 9 at the National Conservation Training Center just outside Shepherdstown.

The drawing of the winning ticket will be held during the awards ceremony at NCTC right after the race. The holder of the winning ticket does not have to be present to win.

The Two Rivers Treads running store in Shepherdstown (113 W. German St., upstairs). The store is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day but Tuesday.

This year’s first Shepherdstown Farmer’s Market, on Sunday, April 3.
