Books being sought for annual spring sale to be held May 6-8

By Staff | Apr 8, 2011

The Friends of the Shepherdstown Library are seeking books for their annual spring book sale, which will be held the weekend of May 6 through 8.

They are collecting most kinds of books – fiction and nonfiction, adults’ and children’s.

However, encyclopedias, Readers Digest Condensed Books, textbooks, computer manuals and magazines cannot be accepted.

All proceeds from the book sale will support the programs of the Shepherdstown Public Library.

FOSL would prefer that book donors hold their volumes for the time being and then bring them to the War Memorial Building at King and German Streets in Shepherdstown on the Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday before the sale – May 3 through 5 – from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Donors who cannot wait until then or who need their books picked up may call or email Book Sale Chair Fran Brolle at 304-268-5767 or fbrolle@excite.com. Anyone who would like to help with the sale should contact Rachel Halley, 304-876-3291 or rhalls75@yahoo.com.
