Amanda Kressley and Jay Martin welcomed baby Alijah Thomas Martin on March 24. Alijah was born at 7:14 a.m. at City Hospital in Martinsburg. He weighed 9 pounds, 11 ounces and measured approximately 20 inches in length.

The baby’s paternal grandparents are Thomas and Tina Long of Kearneysville. The paternal great-grandparents are Hilda and Jim Martin and Dave and Jenny Long of Kearneysville and Rhonda Knotts of Front Royal, Va.

The maternal grandparent is Angie Parker of Shepherdstown, and the maternal great-grandparents are Michael and Barb Lugaila of Shepherdstown.

Sarah and Brian Cooper of Charles Town welcomed baby Samuel Joseph Cooper on March 22. Samuel was born at 6:30 p.m. at City Hospital in Martinsburg. He weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces and measured 18 inches in length

The paternal grandparents are Joseph and Barbara Cooper of Charles Town. The paternal great-grandparent is Frank Cooper of Winchester, Va.

The maternal grandparents are Joseph and Ann Spurgas of Shepherdstown and the maternal great-grandparents are Ruth Orndorff and Tillie Orndorff of Shepherdstown.
