Earth day set for April 23

(Submitted graphic) The third annual Panhandle Earth Day celebration will be held April 23 at Morgan’s Grove Park.

The 3rd Annual Panhandle Earth Day Celebration will be held Saturday, April 23, at Morgan’s Grove Park, on the corner of Kearneysville Pike (Route 480) and Morgan Grove Road, just outside of Shepherdstown from 12 to 9 p.m.

There will be music, art, crafts, food, kid’s activities, demonstrations, environmental and conservation groups, activists, vendors, a farmers market and more! This is a family-friendly, community-oriented event.

This is a leave no trace event. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch, lawn chairs, blankets, recreational equipment and comforts for an afternoon in the park. Please leave your dogs at home. This is a rain or shine event.

The cost is $10 per car, and free to those on bike or foot. Part of the proceeds go to Morgan’s Grove Park.
