Book sale starts May 6
The Friends of the Shepherdstown Library will hold their annual spring book sale May 6 through 8.
Large numbers of books for adults and children, both fiction and non-fiction will be on sale at bargain prices. All proceeds will benefit library programs.
The sale will be held at the War Memorial Building, at the corner of German and King Streets in Shepherdstown. Sale hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 7 and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, May 8.
For those who want to get a jump on the regular sale hours, there will be a wine and cheese reception at the War Memorial Building from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 6. Admission to the reception will be $10 per person. Those who attend may purchase books at that time.
No admission will be charged on Saturday or Sunday.
FOSL still welcomes book donations for the sale. Donors are asked to drop them off at the War Memorial Building from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday before the sale (May 3 through 5). Anyone who needs books picked up may contact Fran Brolle at 304-268-5767.
