Good Shepherd events on tap

Good Shepherd Caregivers has a few events coming up in the next week to benefit seniors, volunteers and the community.

Volunteer training on June 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Zion Episcopal Church Parish House, 221 E. Washington St., Charles Town, will allow attendees to learn about the free nonmedical caregiving provided to older or disabled individuals throughout the county. Senior resources event on June 15 from 10 to 11:45 a.m. is a special session sharing area resources for seniors and those with disabilities. The Department of Health and Human Resources will have information on Medicaid reimbursement, food assistance, Angel Food Ministries and other resources. Senior citizens, those with disabilities and those helping these populations are invited to come learn about these resources. The event will take place at the Christian Community Fellowship, 7330 Martinsburg Pike, Shepherdstown (directly across from Good Shepherd’s main office).

Good Shepherd Caregivers Open House on June 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. at 7311 Martinsburg Pike, Shepherdstown. Come meet the staff, tour our office, enjoy refreshments and learn more about our free services to seniors and those with disabilities in Jefferson County. Parking is available across the street at Christian Community Fellowship.
