CATF offers pay-what-you-can

By Staff | Jul 1, 2011

The Contemporary American Theater Festival announces the dates and times of its popular Pay-What-You-Can Previews series.

Be the first to see the five plays that make up the 2011 repertory and pay whatever price you would like. All tickets are handed out on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning one hour prior to curtain. No advance tickets are available. The Pay-What-You-Can Previews are sponsored by Tom Maiden Insurance Outfitters, Inc.

“The previews are oftentimes the very first public performance of these new American plays,” said Peggy McKowen, associate producing director, said in a press release, “so, they are crucial to our actors and creative team in preparation for the four-week run. We learn so much about the work when it goes before an audience for the first time. Plus, we’re thrilled that Tom Maiden is sponsoring this opportunity for the community to see the plays at whatever price they see fit. Tom is such a great friend to CATF and to the entire Shepherdstown community. We can’t wait to share the 2011 plays with our audience.”

Wednesday, July 6
