How to contact the Shepherdstown Police Department:

EMERGENCY 911

This is used for emergencies such as crimes in progress, medical emergencies, loud/disruptive behavior, dangerous behavior, life threatening incidents and vehicle accidents.

NON-EMERGENCY

304-876-6036, Shepherdstown Police Department, Business hours 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Information for Description of event: Who, what, where, why and how.

Injuries: Advise if there are any injuries and what the injuries are.

Description of Suspect: Male/female, clothing, direction of travel, any weapon.

Description of Vehicle: Make, model, color, direction of travel, license plate number.

If there is a crime scene, do not disturb it.Please do not hesitate to call the police for any incident. If something does not seem right, it probably is not right. The more information that is provided when reporting an incident, the more likely chance that the police can complete the investigation.
