Farmers market to present check to library

By Staff | Jul 22, 2011

The Shepherdstown Farmers Market is donating a $150 check to the children’s section of the Shepherdstown Public Library. The check presentation will take place on July 24 at 11 a.m., at the Shepherdstown Farmers Market.

In the spring of this year, the Shepherdstown Farmers Market donated another $150 to the Shepherdstown Elementary Schools Roots and Shoots program.

The Shepherdstown Farmers Market is located behind the Shepherdstown library on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market is in full swing, with fresh produce, grass-fed beef, pork, chicken, eggs, assorted cheeses, scones, crackers, breads, baked goods, herbs, spices, gourmet vinegars, chips, salsas, plants, flower bouquets, goats milk soap and live music.
