CHARLES TOWN – Jane Carter of Signs of Youth has been named Signing Time Academy Instructor of the Month for July 2011 in the Central Atlantic Region.

Signing Time Academy is an international group of instructors that teach American Sign Language vocabulary classes to infants to children 9 years old.

Carter, a resident of Charles Town, was selected out of 75 instructors in the Central Atlantic Region. She is married and has twins. She teaches Baby Signing Time Play and Sign and Preschool Play and signing classes at Jefferson County Park and Recreation.
