Local student selected for “Honor Code!”
Aaron Friedman, a student at Washington High School, has been selected to attend the 2011 United States Naval Academy sponsored by “Honor Code!”.
The U.S. Service Academy Preparatory and Leadership “Honor Code!” camp is a program designed to introduce talented and promising young adults, with an interest in attending a U.S. Service Academy, to the campus and its admission procedures.
Students enrolled will tour the service academy of their choice. Students can choose from the United States Air Force Academy, located in Colorado Springs, Colo.; the United States Naval Academy, located in Annapolis, Md.; or the United States Military Academy, located in West Point, N.Y.
Students will tour the service academy campus, facilities, conduct introductory physical fitness assessments, study leadership skills and will be introduced to the extensive processes for preparing, applying and gaining an appointment to a United States Service Academy. In addition, students may participate in a high ropes, leadership reaction or orienteering courses.
As part of the camp, students will also tour the special attractions located around the individual academy locations.
“Honor Code!” is the nation’s premier provider of service academy preparatory camps. Its mission is to prepare tomorrow’s leaders, through leadership training and provocative education experiences.
