Resident of Jefferson County Jennifer Leuters will soon be honored at a special event by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s “Frederick’s Finest.”

This is a distinction given to young professionals that live and/or work in Frederick. In accepting this Leuters has committed to a four-month fundraising to help the foundation realize its mission of controlling and curing cystic fibrosis.

This fund-raising campaign will be in memory of Tyler Moore, a close childhood friend. Moore had cystic fibrosis – a life-threatening genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. Moore lived a very full life but lost his battle after a double lung transplant right before his 23rd birthday.

Donations toward this fund-raising campaign or any charitable contribution is 100 percent tax deductible. Donations can be submitted at or checks may be mailed payable to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to Jennifer Leuters, 29 Fuzzy Tail Drive, Ranson, WV 25438. The deadline for donations is Oct. 20.
