Enjoy fall’s offerings
Can you feel it?
It’s the cool temperatures on your way to work in the morning. It’s the smell of burning brush on the weekends. It’s knowing that football season is just around the corner.
Autumn is almost upon us.
And this month is starting off right with a plethora of activities for locals and students to enjoy.
The Shepherdstown Film Society will kick of its fall season tonight with “My Life as a Dog” after an opening reception at the War Memorial Building before the show. The organization will continue its partnership with the Scarborough Society to provide free movie screenings to those across town.
The Shepherdstown Men’s Club will host its annual Labor Day picnic Monday, Sept. 5 with all of the fixings – the Rohrersville Band, great eats and time to spend with family and friends.
And don’t forget football.
The Shepherd Rams will take on Shippensburg at noon Saturday at Ram Stadium. Students and community members alike will line the stands to cheer on the home team to what we hope will be a victorious year for the Rams.
Shepherdstown has a jam-packed season for its residents for the fall time. Soak it all in – because before we know it tingling chills will be upon us and there will be another reason to celebrate: Shepherdstown’s 250th celebration.
Get out and enjoy this season. It’s a beautiful time here in Shepherdstown. Don’t take it for granted.
