The Bridge Gallery will open an exhibit of new paintings by Don Black.
Black, a resident of Winchester, Va., spent years conducting symphony orchestras and operas and is currently a tenured professor of music theory at Shenandoah University and an active jazz clarinetist. He began painting in the 1980s and achieved the great success of being elected to “signature” artists membership in the Baltimore Watercolor Society in 1995.
His extensive musical background brings lyrical movement and vibrant, expressive color patterns to his abstract impressionist images.
The exhibit will open on Saturday, Sept. 10 with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. and will run through Oct. 9.
The gallery is located at 8566 Shepherdstown Pike. For additional information please call 304-876-2300 or visit www.bridgegalleryandframing.com.
