Rams prepare to play Seton Hill

Shepherd University Rams prepare for home game against Seton Hill (0-2) this Saturday Sept. 17.

At Friday’s “Chalk Calk.” head coach Monte Cater along with assistant head coach Ernie McCook and defensive coordinator Josh Kline, discussed the season so far and what fans can look forward to on game day.

Ranked seventh in their division the Rams are undefeated so far this year, and according to Cater, the Rams hope to continue their winning streak this weekend.

“We’ve got a lot of things to be happy about,” he said.

“We really had a change to be explosive,” Cater said of the season oper against Shippensburg.

After an away game last week, the team will return to play at Ram Stadium Saturday.

The team defeated the St. Joseph Pumas 47-7 on the Sept. 10.

Assistant Coach, Ernie McCook said he’s happy to be on home turf again.

“It’s nice to be home. It’s nice to be playing in front of out home town.”

Cater described the upcoming game as a challenge .

According to coaches, Seton Hill’s “mobile quarterback” may be their biggest concern.

“The quarterback kind of runs the show, ” Cater said.

Defensive coordinator Kline described the team’s strategy for dealing with Seton Hill’s unique defense.

“Make the ordinary play extraordinary, ” he said.

The Shepherd Rams will play Seton Hill at 12 p.m. at Ram Stadium.
