The “Whiskers and Wags Woof It Up” fund raiser on Sept. 18 was a huge success due to such wonderful community support! Over $30,000 was raised to help fund The Briggs Animal Adoption Center and Spay Today. This wonderful no-kill shelter is located on Rt. 340 outside of Charles Town and is the home for many adoptable animals who have been abandoned, neglected and abused. Spay Today has helped families in need of assistance and have spayed and neutered over 33,000 animals since its inception.

I want to thank all of the generous friends and businesses who purchased tickets, donated money and gave wonderful items for the silent and live auctions. Special thanks go to the Hollywood Casino for providing their support and a wonderful venue for the event.
