Town Hall to host open house
Town Hall will host an open house Saturday, Oct. 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
According to town council member David Springer, who helped organize the event along with Parks and Recreation committee members Cheryl Roberts and Clyde Kernek, the open house will be an opportunity for those who have not yet visited the new building to come out and see it.
The event will include guided tours of the Town Hall offices and meeting rooms.
According to Amy Boyd, town clerk, the large conference room will house informational displays about Shepherdstown’s various committees.
Committee members are likely to be in attendance, including Mayor Jim Auxer, various town staff and Police Chief David Ransom.
Boyd said local band the Shamaicans will perform from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and free snacks will be served.
“Its a simple tour, food and a little entertainment,” she said.
