Chelsea McBee will release her newest solo album on Saturday, Oct. 15 at the Timberframe Folly just outside of Shepherdstown.
Join McBee and a host of fellow musicians, along with fans, friends and family at the Timberframe Folly on the evening of Oct. 15 to celebrate her newest album “Put This in Your Jar (and sip it).” A reception will be held at 6:30 p.m. with complimentary food and beverages. Her album will be for sale and will include the 7″ vinyl accompanied by a free digital download card.
Music will start around 7 p.m. and will feature Bob Keel, Steve Cifala and Rob Receavuer (of The Outpatients). You are invited to bring instruments and participate in the acoustic open jam that will start around 10 p.m.
This is McBee’s second solo album and her first to be released on a vinyl.
“I chose to press a vinyl for the intimacy and interaction of playing a record as well as the warm, layered, crisp sounds that can only be created with this process,” McBee said in a press release. “I think the sound fits this type of music perfectly.”
The album features three traditional banjo songs as well as one fiddle tune written by 10-year-old Lilly Noel. The digital download card gives you four bonus tracks of original Chelsea McBee tunes in addition to the songs from the vinyl record.
