Shep-or-Treat set for Oct. 26

By Staff | Oct 14, 2011

Shepherd University will host its 11th Annual Shep-or-Treat Halloween event on Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. All faculty, staff and community members are encouraged to bring their children (ages 14 and under) for a fun night of festivities in the residence halls, Student Center, Dining Hall and Wellness Center.

Shep-or-Treat is a campuswide community service event where the students and staff of Shepherd University plan and coordinate fun Halloween activities all over campus. Some of the events include a carnival, trick-or-treating, cookie decorating, a costume contest, kid-friendly crafts, scary stories, a haunted house and much more.

Campus residence halls, Student Government Association, Greek organizations, Wellness Center and other student organizations work together to make this a fun, free evening for all.

Before Shep-or-Treat festivities, Shepherd University Dining Services will be hosting a kid-friendly all-you-can-eat dinner from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Cost is $7 for adults and $4 kids ages 3 to 7.

If you are interested in helping to support Shep-or-Treat, donations of candy are being accepted.
