Women’s soccer battles to scoreless tie with Charleston

Shepherd University and University of Charleston battled to a scoreless tie in WVIAC women’s soccer action at Shepherd on Saturday.

Shepherd had a 9-6 edge in shots while corner kicks were even at 4-4.

Junior goalkeeper Tessa Jones (Gaithersburg, MD/Magruder) had five saves for the Rams, while Catherine Perry recorded five saves for the Golden Eagles.

Shepherd moves to 7-6-2 overall, 4-2-2 in conference play, while University of Charleston is now 4-8-2, 3-3-2. The Rams return to action on Tuesday when they host Mansfield for a 3 p.m. contest.
