Rumsey Radio Hour tickets still available
Tickets are still available for this year’s Rumsey Radio Hour performance, which will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, live on stage at Shepherd University’s Frank Center.
The performance will be followed by a post-show opportunity to meet the cast, also in the Frank Center.
Tickets can be purchased at the Dickinson and Wait Craft Gallery, the Four Seasons Bookstore and The Source in Shepherdstown, as well as at Albert & Arnold’s Wine and Cheese shop in Charles Town.
Advance tickets for the show will be priced at $15 each or two for $25.
Tickets will also be sold at the door, if space is still available, for $20 each.
Performed originally from 1989 to 1995 and revived in 2004, the Rumsey Radio Hour is Shepherdstown’s version of National Public Radio’s Prairie Home Companion.
The Shepherdstown Business Association and the Shepherdstown Visitors Center are sponsoring this year’s show.
Most of the proceeds will help fund the town’s Semiquincentennial (250th anniversary) celebration, which begins Nov. 25, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Shepherdstown Public Library in memory of Ethan Fischer, the Rumsey Radio Hour’s own “Johnny Dime, poet of crime.”
