The Historic Shepherdstown Commission received one of the six minigrants, totally $6,000 the West Virginia Humanities Council awarded.

The $1,490 minigrant will go towards “Voices from the Storm: A Museum Exhibit on Civil War Shepherdstown.”

Other recipients included projects in Greenbrier, Ohio, Tucker, Randolph and Cabell counties.

West Virginia Humanities Council minigrants are awarded every 60 days for projects requesting $1,500 or less. The next two minigrant deadlines are Dec. 1 and Feb. 1, 2012.
