UPDATE 6 p.m.:

Eleven area fire departments worked until past 5 p.m. to put out the small fire inside the Butcher Center gymnasium.

Area fire and police departments responded to a call at approximately 3 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov 16 at the Butcher Center located on Shepherd University Campus.

Fire and rescue personnel are currently working to contain a structure fire in the building.
