SHEPHERDSTOWN–Tickets are now available at the Shepherdstown Library for the 2012 version of “Left of the Bank,” the Friends of the Shepherdstown Library’s (FOSL) popular annual fundraiser. The event will take place on April 13. Doors will open at 7 p.m., and the program will begin at 7:30 p.m.

This year, in honor of Shepherdstown’s 250th anniversary, FOSL will present “Shepherdstown Stories” featuring accomplished local storytellers recounting their experiences of Shepherdstown.

The storytellers will be Clifford Branson, Laura First, Jay Hurley, Joe Matthews, Carlos Niederhauser, Hali Taylor, and Randall Tremba. Ed Zahniser will be the Master of Ceremonies.

The evening will also feature the music of Don Oehser and Friends and an array of delectable appetizers and desserts.

For the first time, the event will take place at the Shepherdstown War Memorial Building at the corner of German and Princess Streets. The second floor of the building will be transformed into “Shepherdstown’s front porch,” according to organizers Edwinna Bernat and Larry Blash

Tickets are $35 per person. Seating is limited, so tickets should be purchased early. All proceeds will support Library programs.
