Marie Anne Beson Guice
Marie Anne Beson Guice of Shepherdstown, WV died peacefully in her sleep at home on Dec. 5, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
Born September 2, 1954 in Bay City, Michigan, she was the eldest child of Leonard George Beson and Anne Sieber Beson. She grew up in a loving family of 11 children Nannette Becker, Lawrence Beson, Tom Beson, Diane DeLorge, Lew Beson, Daniel Beson (deceased), John Beson, Jean Begley, Joan Covarrubias and Fred Beson.
She married Stephen A. Guice on March 21, 1981, in East Lansing, Michigan. Together they had nine surviving children in 11 pregnancies. On their wedding invitation they had the scripture “Rise up my love, my fair one, and come away!” and they fulfilled that living in eight states and five countries as her husband is a U.S. diplomat.
She is survived by her mother, her four sisters and five of her brothers, as well as her children: Simone E. Craig, John A. Guice VI, Elise A. Guice, Norman L. Guice, Therese A. Crowley, Stephen D. Guice, Jeremiah B. Guice, Hanaiah M. A. Guice (deceased), C.B. Guice (deceased), Annabelle M. Guice and Matthew H. T. Guice; and her five grandchildren: Barnabas Crowley, Hadassah Craig, Juliet Crowley, Jack Craig and Elijah Guice (due in February).
Graveside services were Friday, December 8, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Cool Springs Natural Cemetery at the Holy Cross Abbey in Berryville, Virginia.
