George D. Eary Jr.

George D. Eary Jr.,71, of Ranson, died on Friday, Dec. 22, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.

Born Feb. 21, 1946 in Philippi to George D. Eary Sr. and Norma M. (Watson) Eary.

He is survived by his wife, of 50 years, Judy P. (Younger) Eary, at home; his daughters, Dana M. Eary, of Ranson, and Rhonda J. DeStefano and husband Dave of Shepherdstown; granddaughter Hannah M. Reed; sister Tammy Drake and husband Eric of Texas; brothers, Charles Eary and wife Sally of Delaware, James Eary of Tennessee, and William Eary and wife Frances of Florida; along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

George was a Ramp Service Man at United Airlines.

He was a member of the Member Bethel Assembly of God in Martinsburg.

He graduated from Senior High School in Baltimore Maryland.

George was a member of Jefferson County Right to Life and served two terms as president. He was also a member of the Jefferson County Senior Center. He was Royal Rangers Leader and was dedicated to his church. He was also a Budget Counselor accredited through Crown Financial Ministries. He also served in the U.S Army.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017 at Bethel Assembly of God, 2010 Tavern Road, Martinsburg, WV with Pastor Ralph Campbell officiating.

Interment services will be held at Pleasant View Memory Gardens in Martinsburg, WV.

Friends will be received at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
