Sherry Bazzie Adams

Sherry Bazzie Adams, 80, of Shenandoah Junction, passed away April 25, 2015.
Born June 26, 1937, in Windon, she was the daughter of the late Amerigo Bazzie and Virginia Cook Bazzie.
A lifelong educator, Sherry began her teaching career as a high school English and reading teacher, later transitioning to adult literacy, and then finally to English as a Second Language for elementary school children. A proud and dedicated teacher to the end, Sherry has donated her body to West Virginia University School of Medicine.
After retiring, Sherry became a member of Shepherdstown Area Independent Living. In addition, she volunteered with several other local educational programs. She was also a steadfast supporter of the Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Joseph C. Adams; two daughters, Hilary Adams and her husband, Timothy Moore, of Alexandria, Virginia, and Meredith Adams, of Charles Town; and her brother, Michael Bazzie, of Skin Fork.
A celebration of Sherry’s life will be held at the family home in Shenandoah Junction on Saturday, May 12, 2018, from 3 to 5 p.m.
