SHEPHERDSTOWN — Friends and community members gathered at New Street United Methodist Church for its All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast.

“We come every time–spaghetti dinners and pancake dinners–it’s the best in Shepherdstown,” said Lori Simmons, of Shepherdstown, who was enjoying her breakfast with a group of friends.

According to one of her friends, Margie Knott, of Shepherdstown, the dreary weather was no excuse for losing out on a morning of fellowship and food.

“Rain can’t keep us away,” Knott said.
