KEARNEYSVILLE — A bench was dedicated in memory of Steve Roper, former Jefferson County Parks and Recreation maintenance employee, who passed away last year. The bench, located at Steve’s favorite park, Hite Park, was put in place last week. Shown at left is Jennifer Myers, parks director, along with Steve’s wife, Bobbie Roper and sons, Eric Roper and Shane Roper and their families.
