CHARLES TOWN — On left, Denny Barron, treasurer of Shepherdstown Volunteer Fire Department, accepted The Centurion Chamber of Commerce Award from West Virginia Secretary of State Mac Warner at the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce membership meeting at the Epic Buffet in Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races on Nov. 21. The award was begun by Warner to recognize businesses in the state of West Virginia in existence for 100 years or more. Shepherdstown Volunteer Fire Department was founded Feb. 25, 1913.
