RANSON — The Ranson Town Council voted five-to-one in favor of Ordinance 2017-302 on June 30. The ordinance changed the town’s comprehensive plan, to allow heavy industry to be allowed in the former location of Jefferson Orchards, which is near a few local schools and housing developments. Rockwool will likely soon begin to manufacture stone wool insulation out of its new plant at the location.
