SHEPHERDSTOWN — Mayor Jim Auxer, shadowed by Cindy Lou Who, right, prepares to light Shepherdstown’s Christmas tree in front of McMurran Hall on Saturday night. Shepherdstown’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony was scaled back this year into a virtual event, featuring the tree lighting ceremony and reading of Dr. Seuss’ “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” by Mrs. Claus. This year’s Christmas tree was from Dan & Bryan Trees, and decorated by the Shepherdstown Rotary Club.
