Christmas lights illuminate the storefronts of Evolve and Badgerhound Studio and Gallery along German Street, in participation with the Christmas in Shepherdstown business decoration contest.

SHEPHERDSTOWN — Winners of Christmas in Shepherdstown’s business Christmas decoration contest this year were, Kimo Art Gallery, winner of first place; Betty’s Restaurant, winner of second place; and German Street Marketplace, winner of third place. Each business was awarded with the honor on Saturday, along with a cash reward. The homes winning the various categories in the First Annual Deck the Community Decorating Contest were also announced on Saturday: 482 South Church Street won the Grinch Pick award; 207 East German Street won the Brightest House award; 100 West New Street won the Best Traditional/Classic award; and 112 East New Street won Cindy Lou’s Most Creative Christmas award.
