SHEPHERDSTOWN — Customers enjoy lunch on Saturday afternoon inside of Shepherdstown Sweet Shop Bakery, which is one of the many local restaurants and businesses involved in Shepherdstown Shares’ Share the Wealth Coupon Campaign. The 2nd Annual Share the Wealth Coupon Campaign is taking place throughout the month of April. Those who participate in it will receive a $20 coupon applicable in all of Shepherdstown’s restaurants, retail shops and salons with a Share the Wealth sticker posted in their front window, as seen in this picture. The coupon is given in exchange for a $25 donation to Shepherdstown Shares. The fundraiser enables community members to support local businesses that have struggled to keep their doors open through the low-traffic months of the winter and ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic. The extra $5 not included in the coupon value goes toward funding Shepherdstown Shares’ outreach programs, including its food pantry in the Trinity Episcopal Church chapel.
