SHEPHERDSTOWN — A beloved Shepherdstown business will be temporarily brought back to life today through Sunday, for a pop-up shop in Evolve, located at 106 West German Street.

PLUM, LLC — a hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind, personalized jewelry and watch shop — closed the doors to its brick-and-mortar location in Shepherdstown on Oct. 30, 2014.

“We are thrilled that PLUM is coming back!” said Evolve co-owner Jan Hafer. “You may remember this very popular store, which used to be located where Maria’s [Taqueria] is.”

According to PLUM owner Cari Aliveto Rosen, 133 West German Street served as Plum’s brick-and-mortar location for a decade.

“We’re thrilled to announce the long-awaited return of Plum!” Rosen said. “For three days in July, we’ll be hosting an exclusive pop-up shop, showcasing the goods that you’ve been missing.

“For 10 years, PLUM delighted Shepherdstown and jewelry enthusiasts with beautifully handcrafted pieces, each one a unique reflection of both the wearer’s individuality and unparalleled craftsmanship,” Rosen said, mentioning she is a Jefferson County native and Shepherd University alumna. “Now, after an eight-year hiatus, you’ll have the golden opportunity to reacquaint yourself with original PLUM inventory, a limited collection of newly inspired PLUM designs, a meticulously curated clothing collection of both vintage and current trends and much more!”

According to Rosen, bringing PLUM back to downtown Shepherdstown will be a heart-warming experience for both her and her family. After all, she originally transitioned from her career as a fifth grade teacher to that of a small business owner, because of giving birth to her twin daughters, Eve and Zoe. Now all grown, the twins themselves have been working together with Rosen on preparations for this pop-up shop.

“Please join us for this exciting event!” Rosen said. “Rediscover the magic of PLUM’s unique jewelry and style, reminisce over timeless designs of the past and perhaps find a new piece to fall in love with! Expect both the signature styles that made my pieces a beloved name in the jewelry world, as well as exciting new pieces that continue the tradition of PLUM’s excellence and innovation.”

The PLUM, LLC pop-up shop will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. To learn more about PLUM, visit https://www.facebook.com/plumwv/.

“We can’t wait to welcome you back into our glittering world, where each piece tells a story,” Rosen said. “Be ready to start your next chapter with PLUM!”
