County nonprofit garners grant
The Partnership for Affordable Housing Inc. (PAH), a non-profit Jefferson County organization, has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the West Virginia Affordable Housing Trust Fund. Grant funds are earmarked to provide more services to the community and to support and expand the Partnership’s existing housing counseling programs in the Eastern Panhandle. The funds will also enable the organization to improve communications outreach, staff training and the development of closer relationships with community businesses and individuals.
Currently the Partnership is the intake coordinator for the first-time homebuyer Home Housing Assistance Program in Jefferson County. Other PAH programs are the Homebuyer Credit Counseling, the Homebuyer Education Class, and the Rental Assistance/Security Deposit program.
