In an article in the Dec. 30 issue of the Chronicle, it was stated that the proposed Shepherdstown Library was set to be centerpiece of the proposed Rumsey Green development. The new library, in reality, is proposed to be constructed on the Old Shepherdstown municipal dump site located near the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center and not as part of the Rumsey Green property.

Librarian Hali Taylor shared with the Chronicle that the library has secured grant funding to help clean up the former dump site.

In the meantime, she and the library staff are dedicated to serving the community in their current location.
