The Shepherd University Department of Music will host its annual honors recital at the Frank Center’s McCoy Rehearsal Hall on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 1:30 p.m. The honors recital, presented by Shepherd students, and awards ceremony, including performances by each of the chosen prize winners of the Shepherd Vocal Competition, will be free and open to the public.

The Shepherd Vocal Competition is an annual event organized by the Voice Department at Shepherd University in an effort to provide young singers the opportunity to perform for and receive feedback from professional musicians. This is also an opportunity for these young artists to become familiar with Shepherd University’s music program and what it has to offer as they consider their options for college.
