Obituary Jesse Cogan
Jesse Franklin “Frank” Cogan, 78 of Martinsburg, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at the Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Md.
Born April 15, 1933, in Dawson, Pa., he was the son of the late Ernest Cogan and Vera Cogan Shetron.
Frank served our country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren, the Martinsburg Moose, Elks Club, president of Appalachian CB Club, and a member of the Teamsters. Frank also operated Shepherdstown Auto Sales. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Margery Labell, of Arizona, and his brother, Jacob Cogan, of Georgia.
Frank is survived by his wife of over 50 years, the love of his life, Betty Stotler Cogan; two sons, Craig Cogan and wife, Demi, and Scott Cogan and wife, Sheila; one daughter, Ronda Penwell; three brothers, Roger Cogan, of Everett, Pa., James Cogan, of Wappingers Falls, N.Y., and David Cogan, of Raleigh, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, at Rosedale Funeral Home. Interment was in Rosedale Cemetery.
