Two officers injured in fight, three arrests made
SHEPHERDSTOWN Two law enforcement officers sustained minor injuries when the Shepherdstown Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, Shepherd University Police Department and West Virginia State Police responded to an early-morning fight in Shepherdstown, according to a news release from the SPD.
Officers arrested three suspects after being dispatched to a reported fight at Tony’s Pizza and Stonewall’s Pub, located at 126 E. German St., Shepherdstown, at approximately 1 a.m. Friday.
Following the three arrests, officers received a report of a patient at Jefferson Memorial Hospital who ha sustained a stab wound.
The victim was identified as Terrell Leonard, 19, of Natrona, Pa. Leonard sustained a non life-threatening wound to his upper left arm, according to the release.
Leonard told officers he sustained the injury inside Tony’s Pizza and Stonewall’s Pub before the fight occurred.
The three suspects officers arrested were transported to the Eastern Regional Jail.
