Earth Day to be celebrated
Morgan’s Grove Park will be the site of the annual Earth Day celebration on Saturday, Apr. 28 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Cost for the event is $10 per car at the gate or $7 online at pedc.earthvibeproductions.com. Pedestrians and bicycle riders will be admitted at no charge. Part of the proceeds will benefit Morgan’s Grove Park.
Musical entertainment planned for the day includes Paul Pfau Trio, Acoustic Burgoo, Luke Johnson Band, Dawgone, Krispy Kats Quintet, Silent Old Mountains, Zion Hearts, Andrew Luttrell Band, Acoustic Milk, Bob Keel & Chelsea McBee and Todd C. Walker.
A variety of vendors will be on hand including River Riders, Boomtown Hoops, Suzie’s Pony Express, Joy Bridy Pottery, Tim’s Gems and more!
Sponsors for this annual event include Shepherdstown 250, Kohlepp Insurance Agency, Morgan’s Grove Market, American Public University Systems, Apple Valley Waste, Frederick Acoustic Music Enterprise and Shepherdstown Community Club. Non-Profits are Appalachian Trail Conservancy, PATC, Craftworks at Cool Springs, BSHS and Friends of Blackwater.
This is a family-friendly, community-oriented, leave no trace event. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch, lawn chairs, blankets and comforts for an afternoon in the park. Please leave your dogs at home.
