By Staff | Apr 13, 2012

Earthfest gathers people of various religious and spiritual traditions together to sing, pray and resolve to work for renewed care of the earth, its waters and creatures. The event is at the historic Presbyterian Meeting House, 100 W. Washington Street on Sunday, April 15 at 7 p.m. The program is kid-friendly and admission is free.

Earthfest musicians include Greg Lloyd, Todd Coyle, Kari Edge, Lauren Frick, Kipyn Martin, Than Hitt, Mary Anne Hitt, Chelsea McBee, Teresa McBee, Melody Massimino, Morgan Wisniewski, Lisa Lafferty, Nathan Howard, Brad Toole, Jamie Gregory and Lisa Lafferty. Brief reflections on the marvels of water will be offered by Bill Howard, Than Hitt and Natasha Baihly. Several environmental organizations will be present to offer information and recruit supporters. Art with water motifs by local artists will be exhibited. “It’s true,” says Pastor Randy Tremba, “the earth is the Lord’s but it requires human hands, minds and hearts to lovingly cultivate its beauty and to humbly mend what we carelessly befoul and break.”
