Garden club has plant sale planned May 5

By Staff | Apr 13, 2012

The Potomac-Mecklenburg Garden Club will hold their annual plant sale on Saturday, May 5 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Garden of Trinity Episcopal Church in Shepherdstown.

Club members supply perennials and small shrubs from their own gardens and those of friends. The large selection of plants will include popular natives, such as cone flowers, twin leaf and bee balm, a wide variety of spring and summer blooming perennials, ornamental grasses and more. Small shrubs will include boxwood and flowering shrubs. These offerings will be supplemented by hanging baskets and herbs from a local nursery.

Proceeds enable the club to continue its support of local landscaping projects and its program of book donations to local schools.

Arrive early for best selection.
