Shepherdstown Elementary School held annual American Heart Association ‘Jump Rope for Heart’ event Thursday, April 5. Thirteen teams of fourth and fifth grade students jumped to raise money to benefit those with cardiovascular diseases. This year’s event was also held in honor of Shepherdstown Elementary student Bubbie Figgins, who suffers from a heart condition. The event has raised over $25,000 in the last 10 years.
