The Outdoor Education Center of For the Love of Children, in conjunction with Jefferson County Parks & Recreation, sponsored by West Virginia University Hospital East, will hold a Just Move It! Health & Fitness Expo on Saturday, April 14 from 10 a.m. 3 p.m. at the Jefferson County Community Center, Sam Michael’s Park, 235 Sam Michael’s Lane, Shenandoah Junction.

The fair will include displays from local businesses and health professionals as well as health screenings. Families will have the opportunity to learn about recreational and medical services offered in Jefferson County and will have the opportunity to meet local businesses that have a health or wellness focus.

Vendors registered include: River and Trail Outfitters, River Riders, Ranson Parks & Recreation, Cross Fit 304, Two Rivers Tread, A & T Athletic Training, Region 8 Adolescent Health, Horses with Hearts, The Outdoor Education Center, Jefferson County Parks and Recreation Commission, Zumba Fitness, Jala Yoga Yoga Flow, Sun Inside Tanning, Jefferson Academy, Home Instead Senior Care, TK Play Inflates, WV Promise Alliance for Youth, West Virginia University Hospital East, Harpers Ferry National Historical Park and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department.

This is a wonderful opportunity to come out to the park and learn about fitness and health in the community as well as spend time with family. Events for the family include running, cross fit and athletic training clinics, zumba classes, a rock wall, moon bounce, inflatable slide and much more. Come out at 1 p.m. to get a chance to meet World’s Strongest Man, Mike Jenkins as he performs various demonstrations, including pulling a Mac Truck! T-shirts and other prizes will be given out throughout the day; participate in all clinics and become eligible for the grand prize raffle.
