Cayce region retreat set at SU

By Staff | Apr 27, 2012

The non-profit Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E. (Association for Research and Enlightenment) is sponsoring the 37th annual Mid-Atlantic Region Retreat at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, beginning Friday, June 8 with check-in time from 4-6:30 p.m. and concluding at noon on Sunday, June 10.

It was really no surprise that this year’s program topic, MEDICAL INTUITION, was requested

by the 2011 retreat attendees because Edgar Cayce, the A.R.E.’s founder, was one of the world’s most documented medical intuitive of all time and often referred to as the “Father of Holistic Medicine”. Nine thousand of the 14,000 readings he gave in his lifetime were related to the treatment of diseases and health.

It is a great honor that internationally known C. Norman Shealy, MD, PhD has agreed to be the guest speaker for this year’s topic. Dr. Shealy is a neurosurgeon, psychologist, founding president of the American Holistic Medical Association and co-founder with Caroline Myss of the American Board of Scientific Medical Intuition, an organization that trains and certifies medical intuitives. He is president of the Holos Institute for Health, an organization devoted to research in holistic health and also author of 26 books, including his latest book, Medical Intuition.

This popular program, based on Dr. Shealy’s book of the same name, will give practical, readily applied guidance on creating a life filled with greater health, energy and vitality. Drawing on his lifetime of experience as a medical doctor and holistic practioner, he will take one on a journey into the world of medical intuition – a science of the soul – where it is possible to learn to balance one’s own physical and psychological states to create healing and wholeness.

Saturday evening activities from 7-9:30 p.m. include:
