Natalie Rene Gustines and Jesse Ray Slazer were united in marriage June 30, 2011 at Williams Memorial Untied Methodist Church. Rev. Parker Heinzman performed the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Tonda Gusintes Darlington of Shenandoah Junction and the granddaguther of Bill and Tiny Dillow of Charles Town. The groom is the son of Betty Furr of Greenville, Tenn. And Lonnie Slazer of Springfield, Va. and the grandson of Sandra Slazer of Charles Town and Dennis Slazer of Ashburn, Va.

Escorted by her brother, Daniel Gustines and given in marriage by her mother, the bride wore a white lace and satin DaVinci gown with a crisscross back trimmed in beads. The train to the gown was four feet long. The veil was that of the gown and was mid-length. She carried a bouquet of white calla lilies wrapped in satin with beads and tied with turquoise ribbon.

Maid of honor was Desiree Darlington Figgins, sister of the bride. She wore a turquoise satin DaVinci strapless gown with a chocolate sash around the waist.

Bridesmaids were Amy Barger and Heather Barger Carey, both cousins of the bride. Junior bridesmaids wore chocolate satin DaVinci strapless dresses trimmed in turquoise sashes. The bridal party carried bouquets of round hand-tied chocolate carnations with turquoise delphinium and thistle with chocolate and turquoise satin ribbons.

Flower girl was Brooke Penwell, friend of the bride. She wore a white satin dress laced with turquoise and chocolate flowers. She carried a basket of turquoise and chocolate satin rose petals.

Best man was William Phillips, III, cousin of the groom. Groomsmen were Vincent Darlington, Tyler Darlington and junior groomsman was Bubbie Figgins, all brothers of the bride. Ring bearer was Seth Barger, cousin of the bride.

A reception was held at Conococheague Sportsman Club in Sharpsburg, Md. Music was by DJ Bob DeMeza, close friend of the bride’s family. The wedding cake, a quaintly round and hexagon four tiers draped with shell-motion ruffles and trellised in lattice, was made by Beverly Fowler, friend of the family. Flower arrangements were done by Caroline Hoover. Wedding planner was Theresa DeMeza who was assisted at the reception by Helen Sanderson, Sally Robertson, Mikeya and Schelley Penwell.

The couple honeymooned in New York and Ocean City, Md. Both are graduates of Jefferson High School and reside in Shenandoah Junction.
