Blood Drives Planned for Area
Several blood drives are planned around the area for the month of May. To be eligible to donate, one must be 17 years of age, meet weight and height requirements (110 pounds or more, depending on their height) and be in reasonably good health. A person can give every 56 days. All blood types are needed, but especially O negative and O positive. Please bring a Red Cross blood donor card or other form of positive ID when coming to donate.
On Friday, May 4 from 1 to 7 p.m., The Living Room, 50 Monroe Street in Martinsburg will host a drive.
On Monday, May 7, The Lion’s Center in Ranson will host a drive from 2 to 7 p.m. The street address is 310 S. George Street.
Shepherd University is the location for a drive on Tuesday, May 8 from 11:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. in the Wellness Center Room #215.
On Thursday, May 10the Holiday Inn at 301 Foxcroft Ave., Martinsburg will host a drive from 12-6 p.m. This drive is designated in memory of Cynthia Snyder.
The Oasis Health Wellness Center, 120 Commerce Circle, Kearneysville, will host a drive on Saturday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
while Wal-Mart in Charles Town will host a drive on Monday, May 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
