The Jefferson County Parks & Recreation Commission has opened the Jefferson County Community Center at Sam Michael’s Park from 10-6 today for families to beat the heat. Staff will have the gym set up for basketball on and indoor playground on the other for families to enjoy at no charge. In addition, our fitness room is open and we will have crafts & movies in the lobby. Parents are required to stay with their children. The Concession Stand will also be open for lunch.
