In its twelfth year, The Potomac River Artists’ Guild is again sharing its art with the public at its semi-annual exhibit at the War Memorial Building, located at the corner of German and South Princess streets in Shepherdstown. The summer’s display will include paintings using many subject matters and techniques encompassing wildlife, still life, landscapes, impressionism, abstracts, traditional and the Old Masters in many mediums like watercolor, acrylic, oil, pastel, and mixed. The hours are Friday, July 13, 11 a.m. 8 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. 8 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend. The show is free and open to the public.

Art lovers are invited to meet the artists at a public reception on Saturday, July 14, at 3 p.m. in the War Memorial Building.

The Potomac River Artists’ Guild is a diverse group consisting of nearly 20 members from the Eastern Panhandle region. The artists range from degreed to self-taught and the Guild includes award-winners and members of regional and state art organizations.
